‘CAN’ DEGENERATES TO IMPLYING PHYSICAL VIOLENCE AGAINST COUNCIL

THERE ARE PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISTS AND THEN THERE ARE OPINIONATED BLOGGERS, SUCH AS THE MAN WHO EDITS ’CARGILL AREA NEWS’,  AND FANCIES HIMSELF A JOURNALIST. THERE ARE MORAL AND ETHICAL STANDARDS THAT MOST EDUCATED JOURNALISTS ABIDE BY, AND RIGHTFULLY SO. THEIR ULTIMATE INTENTION IS TO REPORT THE NEWS AND HAVE THE READER DECIDE. OLYMPIC TORCH ARRIVES IN WINTRY WALKERTON

I WAS HONOURED TO BRING GREETINGS AT THE HERITAGE WATER GARDEN DURING YESTERDAY’S OLYMPIC TORCH RUN EVENT.

Here is what he said:
“Canadians seem to be willing to tolerate attacks that are based on half-truths [...]

First Winter Storm Slams Walkerton

Considering the date, December 11th, we should consider ourselves fortunate that we have not been forced to battle old man winter for quite sometime now. Anyway, it is here and the snowmobilers and skiiers rejoice. The tourism trade breathes a collective sigh of relief and it looks like a white Christmas will be a reality.  [...]

Twinning From Greenock, Scotland to Greenock, Ontario

What a terrific surprise! A parcel arrived unexpectedly from Scotland late last week. To my amazement, the Member of Scottish Parliament, West of Scotland, Stuart McMillan, had sent a 2010 picturesque calendar from Greenock Scotland. What a beautiful place it is.
Also in the package was a signed ( by every player), authentic Greenock Morton Football [...]
